How would you describe yourself and your particular artistic style?

I’m an artist, and my work is influenced by my life, my encounters and my travels.

After meeting writers, I created book-related objects.

Peru and the Nile have inspired me. Influenced by the pigeon-farming tradition in my region, I’ve painted pigeons; for an exhibition in Doha, falcons; and, used tracing paper for the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. A constantly changing, varied oeuvre.

My current work is more focused on colour and a kind of abstraction.

A common thread running through my work: “Always searching for the connection between the mind, the hand, and the material”.

Why have you chosen to support research to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease?

I was impressed by Patrick Demoucelle’s article in Le Vif this summer. It made me want to help the charity. I’m ready to help DPC organise an exhibition/sale of my work in order to raise funds.

What is your favourite motto/advice for life?

“Always in search of the absolute.”
