The Demoucelle Parkinson Charity is run and managed by volunteers.
Some of these wonderful people, such as our board members and core fundraising team, have committed to support our work regularly and meet often to prepare the charity’s next activities. Others participate by helping with specific events (such as ‘Run or Walk for Parkinson’ or ‘Tulips for Hope) and others still choose to organise their own events or to fundraise independently.
All are part of #teambeatparkinson and we could not be more grateful for their involvement!
If YOU would like to help support efforts to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease, there are many different options:
- Set up your own fundraising initiative
- Support an exisiting fundraising initiative e.g. Run, or Walk, for ParkinsonTulips for Hope
- Engage your company
- Volunteer
- Raise awareness
- Make a donation – a one-off, regular monthly or legacy gift.

Run for Parkinson – 20km of Brussels (end May):
- Take part in a brainstorming discussion (in Kraainem, early Jan)
- Invite your company to take part in the 20km of Brussels via DPC
- Join us as a coach for the ‘Sunday Runs’ (organised every Sunday from mid-April to the end of June)
- Help us as a volunteer on the day of the Brussels 20km – 25.05.25
- Join us as a physio on the day of the Brussels 20km – 25.05.25
Olive oil sale (April – June)
- Take part in a brainstorm to make our olive oil sale ‘the best edition ever’*.
- Help us sell olive oil in aid of DPC (between April and June)
Demoucelle Golf Series (June – August)
- Ask your golf club to organise a competition as part of the Demoucelle Golf Series in 2025.
- Help us prepare the next Demoucelle Golf Series competitions
Tulips for Hope (Sept – Nov)
- Help brainstorm ways to grow and expand this initiative to more areas of Belgium
- Help package tulip bulbs (a few hours during an evening in September)
- Help distribute packages to ambassadors for sale
- Help sell tulip bulbs.
Communications:
- Help us brainstorm creative social media posts (at your convenience, throughout the year)
- Help with administrative tasks (wordpress, canva…) (at your convenience, throughout the year)
- Be part of our communications team, developing ways to raise awareness and increase fundraising.
Raise Awareness :
- Ask your company to support DPC (sponsoring Run, or Walk, for Parkinson or the Demoucelle Golf Series, selling tulip bulbs or olive oil, or establishing its own initiative.)
- Ask your service club to support DPC and/or invite Anne-Marie and Patrick Demoucelle to provide an inspirational talk
- Ask ‘influencers’ in your circle to support DPC (as ‘Tulips for Hope’ ambassadors, for example).
