{"id":1899,"date":"2024-02-08T23:32:54","date_gmt":"2024-02-08T22:32:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/demoucelle.sites-stag.agency\/uncategorized\/winners-of-a-company-step-challenge-support-parkinsons-research\/"},"modified":"2026-04-04T08:43:22","modified_gmt":"2026-04-04T06:43:22","slug":"winners-of-a-company-step-challenge-support-parkinsons-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/demoucelle.sites-stag.agency\/nl\/uncategorized\/winners-of-a-company-step-challenge-support-parkinsons-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Winnaars van een \u2018stappenuitdaging\u2019 van het bedrijf steunen het onderzoek naar de ziekte van Parkinson"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/demoucelle.sites-stag.agency\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_8086-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"- Demoucelle Parkinson Charity\" width=\"232\" height=\"232\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.demoucelle.com\/blog\/charity-post\/medartis-donation\/attachment\/img_8086\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-13876 noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a><em>Lo\u00efc Vanherck recently got in touch with us to let us know that his employer \u2013 international medical equipment supplier Medartis \u2013 would be making a donation in support of Parkinson\u2019s research. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Lo\u00efc, who was a volunteer with the Demoucelle Parkinson Charity before moving to Switzerland a few years ago, explained what prompted this unexpected \u2026 but very welcome \u2026 gift.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2014\u2013<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How did you fundraise in support of Parkinson\u2019s disease research?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our company, Medartis, organised a Step challenge. Employees used fitness trackers to count the number of steps taken in a specific time frame.\u00a0 The aim was to collectively cover the equivalent of 85.000 km which is the distance between all Medartis offices (from New Zealand, to Switzerland via the United States).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">My colleagues \u2013 Erwan, Fabian, Susanne, Undina \u2013 and I won the Best Team Award, having recorded the most steps. Our prize was to determine which charity our company made a donation to.
